Abasin Terrain Park Guide

arapahoe basin terrain park

Arapahoe Basin has 2 separate terrain parks; the Treeline Terrain Park and the High Divide Terrain Park.

The Treeline Terrain Park is the main park at Abasin. This is located just above the Black Mountain Lodge on Dercum's Gulch. You can access the terrain park from any of the upper mountain lifts as well as the Pallavicini chairlift.

The High Divide Terrain Park is designed for skiers and riders who are new to the terrain park. This park has smaller rails and smaller jumps than the Treeline park. The High Divide Terrain Park is a great place to become comfortable on these types of snow features. You will find photos and details about this terrain park at the bottom of this page.

High Divide Park Info

Abasin terrain park

The High Divide terrain park is usually located next to the trail called "Wrangler". The terrain park staff will usually move this park around throughout the ski season. Since Arapahoe Basin is usually one of the first ski mountains to open in Colorado, this terrain park will be located near High Noon at the beginning of the season because this is the first area to open on the mountain.

The features in this park are much smaller and much easier to learn on than the features in the Treeline terrain park. Neither of the terrain parks at Abasin are busy during the regular season. This is partially because most of the skiers that go to Arapahoe Basin are not regular park skiers. This is also because the Keystone Terrain Park and Breckenridge Terrain Park are both located just a few minutes away from Abasin and these parks are much larger and more diverse.

The beginner terrain park is always located on the lower mountain. To access the park, just ride the exhibition lift and head back down towards the park. Remember that the terrain park will move as more snow falls and new trails are opened throughout the ski season.
