About This Website

Colorado Ski Authority at SIA 2013

You probably met either Matt (content) or Jeremy (numbers) or both at SIA this year. I hope we didn’t have anything in our teeth. We do love everything bagels.

As we might have mentioned, we’ve only had ownership of the site for 6 weeks, and while we are pretty set on targeting families and children, we are still fairly flexible on the concepts to get us there. So if you’ve had any thoughts since the show about how we can work together, let’s hear them.

PAID SPOTS

The site is cruising at around 25,000 sessions/month and this is all qualified, Colorado ski traffic. 85% search, 15% direct, all of it organic.

If you have digested the recent SIA Gear Survey, you know that the respondents were pretty clear that they wanted to know about the new gear/apparel/gadgets that was on the market. And we want to show it to them.

Not necessarily reviews, (but we’d be happy to post those you have) but instead discuss what’s good about a particular product, who it’s for, and why you would buy it. This doesn’t just go for new stuff, but also products that have been on the market a while. Our audience is dying to know.

Our current concept is to really blow out our gear section, having a full catalog of gear/apparel/boards/skis, etc. Partners can have as much or as little control over these pages as they like.

We have three modes of paid partnership that we likely mentioned at SIA

If any of these seem interesting or you have other ideas, please contact us at the email addresses below.

CONTENT PARTNERSHIPS

If we talked about working together on a content spot, link exchange, api’s, guest blogging, or anything else in the content range, let’s talk some more. Our goal is to continue to publish content that families use to help make the decision to come ski or to help them while they are on the mountain.

That is our mission, but not everything we do from a content perspective has to fit neatly into that little jar. Because we also like to be good community members, help others out, link back and forth, and cross-promote. So let us know what you’re thinking. I bet we say yes.

CATCHALL

And if there is any other topic or category from SIA that we missed, let’s conversate. I know I had too many beers on Friday afternoon, so if we talked then…well, you’ll probably need to refresh my memory.
