Great condominiums just a short walk from the ski slopes. Guests here get free storage at the lifts for their skis or snowboards. These condos are also located along the bus route in Vail if you don't want to walk to the Gondola in the morning.
Lions Square Lodge
This lodge and conference center is located right at the base of the Vail ski resort in Lionshead Village. This hotel is located only steps away from the Vail gondola and provides premier access to the ski slopes. Rent a hotel room or condominium with as many as 5 bedrooms at the Lions Square Lodge.

The Four Seasons Hotel
This is one of the most reputable hotel chains in Vail. The Four Seasons hotel is located approximately 5 minutes from the ski lifts by vehicle. It is suggested that you grab a shuttle to the mountain from here because it's a little far to be happy about hiking, and not quite worth driving and paying to park in the parking garage.
Amenity highlights from this luxury hotel include a spa, restaurant, bar a grill, poolside bar and grill, gas burning stone fireplaces and high-tech guest rooms.
Antlers at Vail
The Antlers is a great place to stay if you are coming to Vail on business. There is a conference center and condominiums here - all located within 150 yards of the Vail gondola. Galatyn Lodge
TheGalatyn Lodge is a top rated place to stay in Vail Village. The lodge is not even a 2 minute walk from the base of the Vista Bahn Express lift and the Giant Steps lift. You can rent 2 or 4 bedroom condos here and they come with flat screen TVs, gas fireplaces, balconies overlooking Vail Village, a work desk and heated outdoor pool.
Trivoli Lodge
The Trivoli Lodge is located near the base of the Vista Bahn quad ski lift and right in the heart of Vail Village. Some hotel features include walk-in showers, wireless internet access throughout the entire hotel, an on site fitness center and great access to the village and ski resort. This lodge is located less than a 5 minute walk from the ski mountain.
Vantage Point Condos
Located right in Lionshead Village, these condominiums provide great access to the ski slopes and all of the shops and dining in Lionshead. Since the Vantage Point condos are less than a 3 minute walk from the base of Vail mountain, these are one of the best options for lodging in Vail - short of staying someplace with ski in ski out access.
The Sitzmark Lodge
If you stay here you can walk to the Vail ski lifts with ease. Some highlights include tempur-pedic mattresses in each room, wet bars and refrigerators, wireless internet, and excellent views of Vail.
This lodge in vail is also home to the Left Bank Restaurant. The Left Bank has been in Vail for almost 40 years and this is one of the best restaurants in Vail for French and European food. Vail Plaza Hotel
The Vail Plaza Hotel can be found on Vail rd right along the base of the ski mountain. If there is good snow coverage, you can ski down to the lodge on occasion, but this is not a true ski in ski out hotel. There is 100 guest rooms at this hotel, and the Plaza is home to the Sorrento Spa; an elegant and luxurious spa facility located in Vail. The spa offers a full range of body treatments, massages, facials, and a full spa menu of services. There is also another 38 suites that are available to guests at this Hotel.
Lodge Tower
This is virtually a ski in and ski out slopeside lodge at Vail. You can't actually ski out of this place, but it's close enough to the mountain that I could probably call it ski in and ski out. The walk to the slopes is shorter than the distance you walk to the lift from your average ski lodge. When you are done skiing you can usually ski right down to the hotel
