More Winter Park Info
Winter Park is a unique ski resort that is one of the closest ski resorts to Denver. This is a ski mountain with all types of skiing available.
Winter Park has always been known as a good mogul skiing resort. Mary Jane is the most popular spot for skiing bumps and here you can find some of the steepest moguls in Colorado. Lift lines are usually acceptable at Winter Park and there is always someplace to ski away from the large crowds it seems.
This ski resort is also famous for is disabled skiers programs. This is one of the only ski resorts in North America that focuses on teaching visually impaired people how to ski.
The Town
There is a main st. area (hwy. 40) at Winter Park but this is not like Breckenridge, Aspen or Vail. Although you can walk down the sidewalk to get to wherever you need to go, things are a little bit more spread out and this isn't a ski resort that is designed for walking to bars and restaurants.
